best intake for JRSC?

i'm considering switching intakes on my newly supercharged LS. i currently have a lame foam filter. what do you guys think? stock or AEM Cold Air or short ram/filter-on-a-stick? what are the pros/cons for each? thanks.

Ya gotta go with AEM! I have the CAI but I've heard the short ram is even better in this situation.

I have a JRSC myself and I'm a little confused because should I go with a full CAI AEM or just the AEM short ram? SSBP said the full CAI sucks but I want other opinions. Won't the cold air be beneficial or is it only good during idle situations. They have a group deal going on right now a full CIA AEM that's why I asking because I may take advantage of this while it's still on.

The AEM cai, as the first mod on my 96 GSR, raised the peak HP by 6HP. This was measured with a GTech on the street.

I don't see why people think a cai does not provide a benifit.

When I was getting my charger installed at Jackson Racing they mentioned that they've seen big losses with the AEM CAI due to the long track the charger has to pull the air thru. JR says they've only seen gains on NA setups. They've seen losses with the AEM CAI on the blown motors.

I have your standard filter on a stick. The problem I have is when the fan kicks on it blows hot air on the intake. The best thing is to build a cold air box to protect it from the fan but allow outside air to get into the engine bay. Now that I have some spare time, I'll start working on it. First I have to remove the resonator box from the bumper.

I believe that Endyn is working on something to make everyone SMILE It is already slated as part of their complete setup and is a CAI that will have a larger cross section so as to not run into the probelms (Supposed) that the AEM has. I Lund and I have time maybe we can test the dif between the AEM and a filter on a stick, maybe.....

is there any truth to this? AEM CAI losing power for the JRSC??? i just joined the group buy...now i might be thinking of getting out of it if the AEM is going to lose power.

I knew that I wanted to go with a CAI some time after having the JRSC installed. I just couldn't make up my mind between the Ice Man or the AEM. I finially decided on the AEM CAI and bought my from Resistance Motor Sports. I placed my order tonight.
